The easiest way to only get a genuine coin, is to only buy from a reputable dealer. There are plenty of scam artists on eBay, particularly out of China, who try to pass off fakes and until eBay gets better at kicking these guys off… It’s buyer beware! A However, speaking as someone who’s been trading in Chinese coins for over 5 years, I can honestly say that counterfeits are pretty easy to spot if You know what to look for. With the 2009 Panda, I can honestly say that the workmanship is so top notch, that it would impossible to manufacture a convincing fake. If You are still worried about genuineness, the safest route is to only be certified coins from a brick and mortar dealer. You’ll pay a premium sometimes for this luxury, but it pays to shop around because there are wonderful coin dealers out there.
