2011-W American Silver Eagle Uncirculated Coin

The 2011-W Uncirculated Silver Eagle topped 300,000 in sales after nearly one year since its release

Two out of the three top selling silver collectibles experienced better week-over-week sales gains, according to the sales stats from the United States Mint.

Meanwhile, the 2011-W Uncirculated Silver Eagle garnered enough orders to top the 300K milestone.

Both the individually sold 2012-W Proof Silver Eagle and 2012 Silver Proof Set improved while the third most popular product, the Making American History Coin and Currency Set, cooled. This year’s proof Silver Eagles skyrocketed by 22,848 after pulling in 11,699 in sales per the prior report. The latest jump pushed their total up to 596,815 and left them 3,185 shy of hitting 600K.

Behind the Eagles were 2012 Silver Proof Sets. Collectors grabbed 4,158 in this round compared to 3,564 previously. Still in demand but with less enthusiasm were Making American History Coin and Currency Sets, which added 2,671 to their total in this round. Their number grew by 2,979 before, but a cooling down is expected after launching on August 7. So far, 36,549 Coin and Currency Sets have been scooped up by their supporters.

Also making the news was the 2011-W Uncirculated Silver Eagle. Their newest sales total overtook the 300,000 marker after 367 were recently ordered. 300,100 was the exact number. The 2011-dated Silver Eagle has been available since September 15, 2011.
