The U.S. Mint’s latest weekly sales leaders among silver products are the 2016 Silver Proof Set and the 2016 Ronald Reagan Coin & Chronicles Set.

With 5,476 orders in this round of sales stats, the Silver Proof Set took the top spot. The Reagan Set trailed with 3,190 orders even though it is newer, having launched on October 11.

The most unusual factoid gleaned from the stats was that Mint customers snapped up only 650 individually packaged proof Silver Eagles. The proof is the Mint’s most popular annual numismatic coin and it is unique this year because of its the 30th anniversary edge lettering.

Perhaps to explain the phenomenon, the Reagan Coin & Chronicles Set includes one proof Silver Eagle alongside of its unique 2016 Presidential $1 Reverse Proof Coin. The set is selling for $68.95, while the single proof Silver Eagle goes for $53.95.

The table below shows the latest sales stats for collector coins and related silver products from the U.S. Mint. Sunday, October 23, is the as of date for the standard collectibles and Friday, October 28, is the as of date for the bullion products.
