The U.S. Mint email was actually sent in error. The coins are not sold out.

I received a email from the mint today (11/11/10) saying: “Greetings from the United States Mint.
Thank you for ordering from the United States Mint.
We regret to inform you that the item(s) listed below
are currently sold out. (2 PF Silver American Eagles)
What gives?

as i recall this country and all it arms of government were by the people of the peoplr for the people as written in the constution. the one dollar silver eagle is not available to you and me the people except thru greedy dealers. they have no mint mark im told. well i havent seen a mint mark on a phliiy coin except ww11 that has been circulated so why is the eagles that have no mint mark only available to dealers ( this was told to me by a person at the mint) because they were considered bullion if these coins are only bullion why cant we buy them as bullion with a small mark up for costs to the mint, and that only proof eagles w mint were going to be offered to the public not only dealers are they afraid a few of us might amass a little jingle in our pockets that may have some value. have you noticed in gtod we trust is no longer on the penny its been on erery coin i remember these words they beening driven out of existense by our polically correct goverment these words were what this country was founded on and why america exists today what or will exist tomorrow by being polically correct if you believe as i do write it on every piece of mail to hell with the politicians. policical correctness for ten percent of the population or so this is not my upbringing and probably not yours gilbert evans ca.

go to usmint on line and then fo to shop you will see that they have a press release on the proofs so it still is a toss of the coin one way or the other ha ha

Does anyone know if the will be minting 2010 silver eagle proofs? I bought quite a few uncerculated eagles and now my mouth is watering for some proofs.
