US Mint silver coin salesSilver collector coins experienced a robust sales comeback in the latest round of United States Mint sales figures, while American Silver Eagle bullion coins continue to power forward. All of the sets and individual silver dollars beat their prior numbers, some were up double and triple digit.

A scant 7,229 of the 2010 Boy Scouts of America Silver Dollars remain from the 350,000 that Congress allotted. They are all proof versions, since the uncirculated already sold out weeks ago. The US Mint adjusted the uncirculated’s numbers again, this time reducing them by 266. They now stand at 107,070, while the proofs are at 235,701.

The 2010 Disabled American Veterans Silver Dollars sprung back from their waning sales to a more invigorating 1,990 combined gain. Proof dollars advanced 1,390 compared to last week’s reported 770. The uncirculated climbed by an even 600 after the prior 165. The new DAV combined total tops the 200,000 mark.

The Mint’s "last opportunity sale" spurred new life into both silver proof sets. The 18-coin 2009 US Mint Silver Proof Set catapulted by 2,044 when last week’s advance was only 752. The 2009 DC and Territories Quarters Silver Proof Set also improved — 810 versus 360. The 18-coin silver proof set is at 683,099, and the DC and Territories Quarters are at 279,885.

American Silver Eagles sales are moving along and have already captured the "best ever May" title. May’s total reached 2.4+ million, bringing the year-to-date tally to just under 14 million.
