2014-W Uncirculated Silver Eagle Coin Grabs Sales Milestone

Another United States Mint product crossed a sales milestone, and this time it was the 2014-W Uncirculated American Silver Eagle, per the latest stats from the bureau. Sales of this individually-sold item grew 5,562, making it the number one weekly best seller and causing its new total to cross 200,000.

As of October 19, the 99.9% pure silver coin stands at 205,399. The US Mint has been selling them since April 10, 2014 for $43.95.

For just one dollar more, it should be noted, consumers can pick up the 2014 Annual Uncirculated Dollar Coin Set. It also contains this year’s uncirculated Silver Eagle coin plus four uncirculated Presidential $1 Coins and one Native American $1 Coin. Its sales gained only 175 during the week. Since September 8, the US Mint has sold 15,511 of the dollar set.

The wait for a new silver product from the US Mint will be over on October 28 when the 50th Anniversary Kennedy Half-Dollar Silver Coin Collection launches. This four-coin set will contain a total of approximately 1.44 troy ounces of silver and will cost buyers $99.95. Launch time will be 12 noon Eastern Time, and its sales are expected to soar.
