One of the more unique collector products, the coin set returns after a three year absence and following successful releases in 2007 when a bit more than 90,000 were ordered and in 2008 when nearly 99,000 sold.

This year’s Annual Uncirculated Dollar Coin Set features uncirculated versions of all the $1 coins produced by the U.S. Mint in 2012. These include:

  • 2012-W Uncirculated American Silver Eagle
  • 2012-D Native American Dollar
  • 2012-P Chester Arthur Presidential Dollar
  • 2012-P Grover Cleveland First Term Presidential Dollar
  • 2012-P Benjamin Harrison Presidential Dollar
  • 2012-P Grover Cleveland Second Term Presidential Dollar

The mint marks denote that the uncirculated coins are produced at three different U.S. Mint facilities. The four 2012 Presidential $1 coins come from the Philadelphia Mint, the Native American $1 coin from the Denver Mint and the American Silver Eagle from West Point.

Price and U.S. Mint Order Information

The 2012 Annual Uncirculated Dollar Coin Set may be ordered directly from the U.S. Mint online store at http://www.usmint.gov/catalog for a price of $54.95.

There are no household order or production limits in place, according to a U.S. Mint news release about the set.

All six coins are presented within an attractive folder that offers a description of each uncirculated dollar. The back of the folder includes a printed Certificate of Authenticity.

Last Product with Silver Eagle

As first mentioned, the coin set should be the final product from the U.S. Mint this year to include a collectible American Silver Eagle.

In previous Silver Eagle releases, the 2012-W Uncirculated American Silver Eagle within the Annual Uncirculated Dollar Coin Set is also available individually for $45.95. Then there is the:

  • Individually sold 2012-W Proof American Silver Eagle for $54.95, and the
  • Making American History and Currency Set for $72.95 (it includes a 2012-S Proof American Silver Eagle and $5 bill)

Earlier this year the U.S. Mint offered the 2012 American Silver Eagle Two Coin Set for $149.95. It contained a 2012-S Reverse Proof American Silver Eagle and a 2012-S Proof American Silver Eagle — the same coin as in the Making American History and Currency Set.
