2016 Bullion American Silver Eagles Reach 4.1M in March

Bullion American Silver Eagles rang in March with sales of 4,105,000 coins, United States Mint figures for the month show. The level is 14.1% lower than the prior month but 16.7% higher than in March of 2015.
Sales of bullion 2016 American Silver Eagles topped 14.8 million in the first three months of the year.
More to the point in reflecting demand, 2016 Silver Eagles are maintaining a record pace with first quarter sales of 14,842,500 coins, up 23% from the 12,071,000 coins sold during the first three months in record year 2015.
In the numismatic arena, the U.S. Mint’s most popular products of the week were new 2016 National Park Service 100th Anniversary Commemorative Coins.
Last week we told you their first day sales numbers. The most recent sales report from the Mint shows totals ordered through to the weekend reached 19,518 of the individually-packaged proof NPS silver dollars and 8,647 of the individual uncirculated NPS silver dollars. Another top seller was the 2016 National Park Service Three-Coin Proof Set, whose total hit 7,886 by Sunday. The three-coin set is the most expensive offering at $466.45. It contains one proof silver dollar, one proof $5 gold coin, and one proof clad half dollar.
As a comparison, the next closest silver performer, which has been available since March 7, was the 2016 America the Beautiful Quarters Silver Proof Set. During the whole week, buyers picked up another 3,936. Their total sold since launch jumped up to 60,278.
