Love and Season’s Greetings Themes on Disney Silver Coins

Disney silver coins struck by the Perth Mint of Australia have proven to be popular with collectors and two recent releases celebrating love and the holiday season are likely to continue that tradition. Available from the Perth Mint are the 2015 Disney Crazy in Love 1 oz Silver Proof Coin and the 2014 Disney Season’s Greetings 1/2 oz Silver Proof Coin.

Both are struck from 99.9% pure silver and feature reverse designs showcasing Disney characters. Both are also available in limited mintages of 10,000.

Disney silver coins debuted earlier this year with a Steamboat Willie Coin representing the animated feature debut of none other than Mickey Mouse. It was followed by a Donald Duck coin and six unique Mickey and Friends coins.

Disney Crazy in Love Silver Coin

Images of Mickey and Minnie Mouse appear on the reverse of the new Disney Crazy in Love Silver Coin. The design shows Minnie kissing Mickey on the cheek. Inscriptions on the reverse include DISNEY, MICKEY + MINNIE, TRUE LOVE, 1 OZ 999 FINE SILVER and ©DISNEY.

Each limited edition coin is packaged in a love-themed booklet-style coin case.

Disney Season’s Greetings Silver Coin

Holiday celebrations are shown on the reverse of the Disney Season’s Greetings Silver Coin with Mickey Mouse adorned in a Santa outfit along with his friends Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy and Pluto. Appearing to the side of the Disney characters is a decorated Christmas tree. All of these elements are shown in color to enhance their detail.

Reverse inscriptions include SEASON’S GREETINGS, 1/2 OZ 999 FINE SILVER and ©DISNEY. Themed outer packaging ships with each coin which appears in a star-shaped coin capsule with a ribbon for hanging.
