2014 Silver Proof Set, Shenandoah Bullion Coin Mark Sales Starts

Two silver coin products hit the market and their early sales are showing strength. First, the United States Mint launched the 2014 Silver Proof Set on April 29, and collectors scooped up more early than last year. Second, the five-ounce Shenandoah National Park Silver Bullion Coin debuted on May 6, and its start is stronger than the opening of the first 2014-dated five-ounce silver coin.

2014 Proof Silver Eagle Coins Surpass 500,000 in Sales

One U.S. Mint numismatic silver coin had another hot week of sales, per the most recent stats from the bureau, and surpassed a major sales achievement in the process. In shooting up by 17,652, the 2014-W Proof Silver Eagle in three months passed the 500,000 milepost in total sales.

A popular annual collectors’ product from the United States Mint debuts with the upcoming 2014 Silver Proof Set. Priced at $53.95, the set launches at Noon (Eastern Time) on Tuesday, April 29, 2014.

With all 2014 Baseball Hall of Fame Commemorative Silver Coins sold out and no products debuting, buyers returned their attention to Silver Eagles, the latest United States Mint sales stats revealed.
