2012 Hawaii Volcanoes 5 Ounce Silver Bullion Coin Available

A little more than one month following the release of the previous strike in the series, the fourth debut for this year’s five ounce investment-grade silver coins launched. Orders for the 2012 Hawaii Volcanoes National Park 5 Ounce Silver Bullion Coin are being accepted at the United States Mint from its network of Authorized Purchasers.

Melt values of silver coins and sets are surging. Silver prices increased sharply Friday, September 7, 2012, as the precious metal soared to levels not seen in six months.

Supported by a 12.6% increase in U.S. silver prices, interest in American Silver Eagle bullion coins surged in August as purchases of the investment-grade coins rose 26% over previous month.

Sales of 2,870,000 qualified the month as the second best August in the 26-year history of the American Silver Eagle program, falling right behind sales from one year ago.
