2014-P Arches 5 Ounce Silver Coins Open at 21,301

2014-P Arches National Park Five Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coins were welcomed by collectors, as seen in the number scooped up during the first few days.

Between Thursday and Sunday, buyers ordered 21,301 of the silver coins, according to the latest United States Mint sales report. These inaugural sales were higher than the Shenandoah silver coin debut that hit 20,120 in a similar time frame back in May, but they were slightly lower than opening numbers for the Great Smoky Mountains coin, which was 21,415. To be fair, however, Great Smoky Mountain coin sales started on a Monday in April, so there were more days to buy during the initial reporting period.

The companion Arches bullion silver coin landed at 16,300 through to Wednesday with its release on Monday, June 9.

The second most-sought numismatic silver product was the 2014-W Proof Silver Eagle with a strong gain of 10,432 to 581,321. The 2014 Silver Proof Set followed in third with sales of 6,513 to 254,868.
