2015 Kisatchie Silver Bullion Coin Sales Suspended

The newest America the Beautiful Five Ounce Silver Bullion Coin honoring Kisatchie National Forest has temporarily sold out at 30,000, the United States Mint told its network of Authorized Purchasers on Tuesday.

Sales climbed quick for the 99.9% fine silver coin, which was released on April 20. First day figures rang in at 23,000 and seven days later reached 29,800. The last 200 were scooped up on Tuesday.

More will be struck, the memo reported, and sales will resume on May 5, until the maximum 35,000 are sold. This is the same maximum mintage as the Homestead silver bullion. It launched on February 17 and sold out on April 1.

In related news, the collectible Kisatchie five ounce silver coin launched on Tuesday. Its distinguishable from the bullion version by a "P" mint mark and matte finish. The bullion versions have no mint mark and they sport a brilliant finish.

In collector silver products, the 2015-W Uncirculated American Silver Eagle nabbed the top spot in the weekly sales report with 6,186 new orders. This latest gain pushed their total up to 146,491. In the previous round they experienced an increase of 3,274.
