2016 Silver Eagle Sales Race, Last Chance 2016 Commemorative Coins

In the most recent round of the United States Mint sales stats, the two products in a neck and neck race for the top spot were the individual proof and uncirculated American Silver Eagle.
Thursday is the last day to buy 2016 commemorative coins, like the proof and uncirculated Mark Twain Silver Dollars
The 2016-W Uncirculated American Silver Eagle won with 5,252 units being sold during the week, which pushed its total up to 172,802. The 2016-W Proof Silver Eagle gained 5,115 in sales, and with is overall popularity and availability since September, its total advanced to 521,432.
As the year wraps up, the U.S. Mint promotes a Last Chance Sale. Among the items are the 2016 silver commemoratives that will go off sale Thursday, December 29, at noon ET. They include the 2016 National Park Service 100th Anniversary Commemorative Silver Coins and Three-Coin Proof Set as well as the 2016 Mark Twain Silver Dollars.
Also ending soon are sales for the 2015 Silver Proof Set and 2015 America the Beautiful Quarters Silver Proof Set. The last chance for consumers to by these two sets is December 31 at midnight ET.
The table below shows the latest sales stats for collector coins and related silver products from the U.S. Mint. Sunday, December 25, is the as of date for the standard collectibles and Wednesday, December 28, is the as of date for the bullion products. 2017 bullion Silver Eagles will go on sale January 9.
