Canadian $20 D-10 Locomotive Silver Coin Available

The Royal Canadian Mint is closing out its Great Canadian Locomotive Series with the release of the $20 D-10 Locomotive Silver Coin. This strike marks the final of four in the series to be issued by the Mint recalling the golden age of Canadian rail.
Shown on the reverse of the silver coin is a design showcasing one of Canada’s most important locomotive series of the era, the D-10. When first produced, the D-10 proved so dependable and practical that over 500 of the powerful locomotives were constructed for use in the early 1900’s. Read More…
US Mint Sales: Fewer Yosemite Coins Remain, Silver Eagles Top 21.3M

Following a week of higher demand came a slower one for silver coins, the latest sales stats from the US Mint revealed. Silver sets and commemoratives cooled. Silver Eagles managed yet another milestone. And, a few thousand 2010-P Yosemite National Park Five Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coins were picked up after a full week on the market.
2,593 more collectors purchased the Yosemite Five Ounce Silver Uncirculated coin, which still has the one coin per household ordering limit in place. That leaves just 3,896 in the Mint’s inventory as of Sunday, June 19. Of the 27,000 produced, 23,104 have sold since its launch on June 9, with 20,511 selling in the first four days. Read More…

The final 2010-P America the Beautiful 5 Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coins will feature Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona and Mount Hood National Forest in Oregon.
The United States Mint will launch the Grand Canyon National Park 5 Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coin on June 29, 2011, and the Mount Hood National Forest 5 Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coin one month later on July 28, 2011. Yosemite Five Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coin Sales Debut

Coin demand was up during the week ending June 12, according to the most recent sales stats from the United States Mint. The 2010-P Yosemite National Park Five Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coin debuted and shot over sales of other US Mint numismatic products.
The collector Yosemite Five Ounce Silver Uncirculated coin topped the sales charts and followed in the footsteps of predecessors in its series, although slightly fewer were purchased during its opening days than the previous two designs. The newly released Yosemite coin launched Thursday, June 9, and collectors scooped up 20,511 by Sunday or nearly 76% of inventory. Read More…
9/11 Silver Medals Available June 20

9/11 Silver Medals will go on sale June 20 from the United States Mint. Officially known as the "September 11 National Medal,” they are being produced in commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the coordinated terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, in New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.
In addition to the launch of the 9/11 silver medals, the Mint will also hold a formal release ceremony in New York near Ground Zero on the same day. Read More…

The United States Mint today, June 9, 2011, began selling the 2010-P Yosemite National Park 5 Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coin to numismatists and silver enthusiasts.

The United States Mint sent the following image of the 2010-P Yosemite National Park 5 Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coin within an e-mail to customers promoting the coin’s release.
The large three inch diameter Yosemite uncirculated coin contains five full ounces of the precious metal minted to .999 fine purity. Selling for a price of $279.95, the Mint has limited the amount buyers may order to one per household.
There will be a maximum of 27,000 offered, and if history repeats itself, all of them will sell. The first two 2010 designs in the America the Beautiful 5 Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coin series, the Hot Springs and Yellowstone silver coins, sold out in roughly two weeks. Read More…
