Bullion Silver Eagles hit new milestones while maintaining a hot pace in November. US Mint Authorized Purchasers took another 1,410,000 over the last six days to move November’s total to 3,875,000. Collectors wasted no time in purchasing more than a quarter of a million 2010 Proof Silver Eagles, indicating that there truly was pent-up demand for the silver coins.

Silver Prices Jump 4.8% in Week, Up 61.3% in 2010

Weekly Silver UpdateU.S. silver prices rebounded from losses last week to close above $27 an ounce, capping a weekly gain of 4.8 percent and notching a 2010 gain of 61.3 percent.

Silver prices for December delivery rose 34.5 cents, or 1.3 percent, to settle at $27.179 an ounce on the Comex in New York. For the week, silver jumped $1.237 after falling 80.6 cents last week. Read More…

2010 Proof Silver Eagle orders are fixed. Acknowledging a mistake it made affecting a portion of its customers, the United States Mint confirmed Tuesday that all eagle orders were reinstated. This comes as reassuring news to those who had received erroneous emails last week.

A confirmation email was sent to those affected customers who had received the incorrect correspondence on Wednesday, November 10, 2010, first stating that their orders were on backorder followed up by a second email stating the item ordered had been sold out, thus canceling their purchase. US Mint silver coin salesOverall, demand for collector silver products eased compared to the previous week, the latest US Mint sales figures show.

One exception to the slower Mint sales was the 2010 America the Beautiful Quarters Silver Proof Set™. It experienced its best gain since early last month. The quarter set advanced 3,494 and exceeded its prior week’s move of 2,477 by 1,017.
