After spending a few weeks away from the spotlight, the 2014 Silver Proof Set returned to center stage as the number one weekly best seller among United States Mint products with silver coins. The set’s sales of 3,020 doubled how many were ordered during the prior period. To date, the U.S. Mint has sold 311,846 of them.

Sales of bullion American Silver Eagles accelerated in the last half of September, more than doubling the number sold in the previous month. Demand for the silver coins surged as silver prices tumbled to lows not seen in over four and a half years.
