2014 Silver Proof Set Best Weekly Selling Silver Product

After spending a few weeks away from the spotlight, the 2014 Silver Proof Set returned to center stage as the number one weekly best seller among United States Mint products with silver coins. The set’s sales of 3,020 doubled how many were ordered during the prior period. To date, the U.S. Mint has sold 311,846 of them.

But the Silver Proof Set wasn’t the only product to experience week-over-week improvements. 2014-W Proof Silver Eagles also rebounded with a gain of 2,626 after tacking on 916 during the previous round. Its total sales moved up to 684,529.

Supporting weekly gains was resumption of sales. In the prior period the Mint’s ordering system was offline for several days during the transition to a new system.
