The U.S. Labor Day holiday, unofficially marking the end of summer for most families, looks to have slowed demand last week for silver coins, based on the latest sales stats from United States Mint. The numismatic silver coin to lead sales turned out to be the 2014-W Proof Silver Eagle, but its sales were down from a stellar gain of 12,193 in the prior round to an addition of 5,944 in the most recent one.
