Available now from the Perth Mint of Australia is the 2012 Australian Kangaroo 1oz Silver Proof High Relief Coin. The limited mintage release of this strike marks the third annual issue of the high relief silver proof coin series that dates back to 2010.

U.S. silver soared Friday to lift the white metal into the black for the week and nearly for the month.
On the Comex in New York, silver prices for September delivery surged $1.32, or 5%, to settle at $27.61 an ounce and notch a 3.6% weekly gain. Prices traded between an intraday low of $26.27 an ounce and a high of $27.92 an ounce. Read More…

Silver coins are pulling in more buyers, based on fresh sales data from the United States Mint. 22 silver products experienced higher weekly sales as compared to the last one, and the top three surged by amounts exceeding 10,000.

Authorized Purchasers are now able to order 2012 Chaco Culture National Historical Park 5 Ounce Silver Bullion Coins from the United States Mint. Along with that debut, the initial sales numbers for the silver coins are also known.

Legislation introduced in the House seeks commemorative $5 gold coins, $1 silver coins and 50-cent clad coins to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service.
Officially named the National Park Service 100th Anniversary Commemorative Coin Act and numbered H.R. 5840, the bill would have the United States Mint strike the coins for calendar year 2016 to coincide with the centennial creation of the NPS. Read More…
