US Mint silver coin sales2010 Boy Scouts of America Silver Dollars showed continued strength in the latest U.S. Mint sales report, dipping just slightly from the previous weekly increase while breaking away from halving falls.

BSA coins reached 312,653, or 89.3% of their total allotted sales of 350,000. Weekly sales were at 22,261, marking a decline of only 1,614 from their prior advance and showing signs of a stabilizing level.

Since the silver dollars went on sale March 23, 2010, Mint reports have shown progressive weekly gains of 214,672 to 51,844 to 23,875 and now the latest 22,261.

Prices did increase for each option on Wednesday. The uncirculated coin moved from $33.95 to $35.95 and the proof was raised to $43.95 from $39.95. That may affect sales next week to some degree, although a few dollars in increases will not change the minds of those who have just learned about the coins and want them.

2010 Disabled American Veterans silver coins are at 55.4% of their allotted 350,000 mintage. 193,773 is their newest total after their weekly advance of 2,284. Their prior 7-day increase was 3,427.

For bullion coins, American Silver Eagles have reached 1,756,000 for March and 10,779,500 for the year. 762,000 will need to be sold by the Mint this month to at least match the sales from March 2009.

The next silver product the Mint has scheduled for release is the May 27, 2010, issue of the America the Beautiful Quarters Silver Proof Set.
