Continuing its annual series, this month the Perth Mint released its 2015 Australian Koala 1 Kilo Silver Proof Coin.

Koalas are indigenous to Australia and found in the coastal areas of the eastern and southern areas of the country. Surviving on eucalyptus leaves, the koala spends most of its time sleeping in the branches of the trees.
