2011-W American Silver Eagle Uncirculated Coin

Total sales of the 2011-W Uncirculated Silver Eagle rose to 245,757

According to the latest United States Mint sales stats, the 2011-W Uncirculated Silver Eagle picked up steam and improved its week-over-week gains, as did several other items, like the 5 ounce silver uncirculated coins. The 2012 America the Beautiful Quarters Silver Proof Set, on the other hand, slowed but was still a strong seller.

Sales of the 2011-W Uncirculated Silver Eagle rose another 4,455 in this round, beating their prior pick-up of 3,062 by 1,393. The Silver Eagle has been on the market since September 15, 2011 with its total advancing by more than 20,000 in January. The latest tally clocked in at 245,757.

The second biggest numismatic silver seller of the week was the 2011-P Vicksburg 5 Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coin. 1,688 orders were added, which tipped its total to 11,301. Three surprising climbers were the older five ounce silver uncirculated coins. Their strength seemed to renew in the latest round as the Gettysburg coin picked up 592 versus 373 previously, the Glacier coin rebounded by 568 compared to 339, and the Olympic coin garnered 715 after climbing by 467.

Not far behind the Vicksburg 5 ounce coin in popularity was the 2012 America the Beautiful Quarters Silver Proof Set, which increased by 1,190. After 20 days of availability, its total rung in at 70,419.

The 2011 Silver Proof Set, that sprung upwards by 3,084 over the two mid-January weeks combined, added another 947 in this report. It has been available for more than a year as of January 25, and buyers have ordered 548,261 of them. They still have a way to go to match the 2010 Silver Proof Set sales, however, which was last reported as 585,414.
