2015 Silver Eagles and Proof Silver Sets Lead Sales

The weekly United States Mint sales stats show the 2015-W Proof American Silver Eagle as the leader once again in the white metal category. Sales moved up by 6,060 to 643,088.

2015 Proof Silver Eagles were the Mint’s top-selling silver product for a fifth week in a row.

Not too far behind was the 2015 Silver Proof Set, which jumped by 4,816. Its total is now at 298,335. Both the silver sets and Silver Eagles are featured in the Mint’s 2015 Holiday Gift Guide.

On the investor side, bullion 2015 Silver Eagle sales are closing in on last year’s annual record of 44,006,000. As of the end of day Wednesday, Nov. 18, their year-to-date total is at 42,880,500. This week’s allocation is 900,000 with 851,000 of them sold by Wednesday. Last week’s supply was established at 1,107,500 and all were taken, making the week’s sales the highest since August 21.
