Proof and Uncirculated 2015 Silver Eagles Lead Sales

Proof and uncirculated 2015 American Eagle silver coins contended for the top weekly sales spot in U.S. Mint silver products, and they were nearly in a dead heat, according to the latest sales stats.

By Sunday, proof Silver Eagles edged out the uncirculated versions by a difference of only 198 orders — the proof gained 5,147 while the uncirculated added 4,949. It was the 2015-W Uncirculated Silver Eagle’s second full week on the market. They launched on March 26.

Other movers and shakers consisted of proof and uncirculated 2015 March of Dimes Silver Dollars. Again, buyers preferred the proofs 2,970 to 2,133. Their introductory prices ended on Monday, April 13.

Not every silver product climbed in sales, however. A negative adjustment was made to the 2015 America the Beautiful Quarters Silver Proof Set, which fell by 1,856 to 65,575; and proof 2015 US Marshals Service 225th Anniversary Silver Dollars dropped by 610 to 30,975 after jumping by 7,887 in the prior round.
