Silver coins were not shining as bright last week as the week before, according to the latest United States Mint sales report. Demand dropped across all U.S. Mint silver numismatic products, but the softened sales appear to be more a reflection of collectors who have already made their new coin purchases than of anything else.

US Mint Sales: DAV Coins Rise, Collectors Await BSA Silver Dollars

The new US Mint weekly sales report shows solid gains for collector silver products, and decent traction for bullion American Silver Eagles. The bullion coins rose 725,000 in five days — between March 10 – 15. Totals sales for the month now stand at 1.9 million. Silver numismatic coins and sets improved nicely.

Investment demand for bullion American Silver Eagles increased during the last seven days, but excitement abated for other American silver products. According to the latest United States Mint sales statistics, Silver Eagles advanced another 750,000 since last Wednesday — improving to 1,175,000 during the first ten days of this month.
