Limited Edition Silver Proof Set Leads US Mint Silver Sales

This may be March of 2015, and the U.S. Mint had already released nine 2015-dated silver coin products, but consumers let it be known that they would still buy a fresh new set that contained 2014-dated coins no matter how late it launched.
The 2014 Limited Edition Silver Proof Set scored the strongest weekly sales among U.S. Mint silver products.
On Tuesday, March 17 the 2014 Limited Edition Silver Proof Set debuted and by Sunday 20,529 of them flew off the Mint’s shelves. Hands down it was the hottest selling numismatic silver product of the week. (Read about its release.)
The next closest contender in the Mint’s weekly sales stats was the proof 2015 March of Dimes Silver Dollar with 13,835 orders. When combined with 5,590 uncirculated dollar orders, their cumulative total climbed 43,801. They’ve been on the market since March 13.
