The Perth Mint of Australia continues a successful series with the recent launch of the 2011 Australian Kangaroo 1oz Silver Proof High Relief Coin. This strike marks the second year for the new series and is expected to achieve a sell-out like the debut coin.

US Mint Sales: Hot 2011 Proof Silver Eagles Debut

This year’s 2011 Proof Silver Eagles kicked off with an incredible start. Collectors pounced on the .999 fine silver coins much like they did in 2010, indicating the market for them remains red hot.
Collectors took in 367,623 Silver Eagles in approximately six days, according to the latest US Mint sales figures. The proof coin launched Thursday, June 30, and the stats account for sales as of Tuesday, July 5.
Last year’s proof had an impressive start of 273,212, but their recorded time frame was much shorter. It showed what collectors accumulated from Friday, November 19 through to Sunday, November 21. 2011 American Silver Eagle Proof Coin Launches

The 2011 American Silver Eagle proof coin is now available from the United States Mint for $59.95, plus a standard shipping and handling fee of $4.95 per order. The Silver Eagle coin became available beginning at Noon (Eastern) on Thursday, June 30, 2011.

9/11 Silver Medal Sales Debut

Although silver coin sales for the United States Mint slowed overall, a few standouts were revealed in the latest figures. The new 9/11 Silver Medals brought in almost $3 million in sales, and the 2010-P Yosemite National Park Five Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coins reached their maximum order limit so a waiting list is now in place.

2010-P Grand Canyon 5 Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coin Available

Collectors were able to start purchasing the 2010-P Grand Canyon National Park 5 Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coin today, June 29, 2011, when the United States Mint began offering them at Noon Eastern Time.
The US Mint is selling the five ounce America the Beautiful Silver Uncirculated Coin honoring the site in Arizona for $279.95, with a household order limit of one in place.
Maximum mintage for the Grand Canyon coin is capped at 27,000 units. This is the same level that was available for the preceding three strikes in the America the Beautiful series, including silver coins honoring Hot Springs National Park, Yellowstone National Park and Yosemite National Park. Lions Clubs International turns 100 in the year 2017. Several dozen Congressman would like to celebrate the milestone with up to 400,000 commemorative silver coins produced by the United States Mint.
Introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives on June 3, 2011, by Illinois Congressman Peter Roskam and currently cosponsored by 38 other members, the coin legislation is named the Lions Clubs International Century of Service Commemorative Coin Act and numbered H.R. 2139. Read More…

Interest in the America the Beautiful Five Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coins remains strong among collectors as the third strike in the series has now attained a sellout status. The United States Mint posted a "Waiting List Notice" on its store page for the 2010-P Yosemite National Park 5 Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coin informing customers of the situation.
