US Mint Silver Sales: Truman Set Sells Out

This week was exciting for coin collectors and June was a very busy month for the United States Mint’s bullion American Silver Eagles. To the latter first, the month ended with the second highest monthly total this year: 4,840,000 coins. June trailed only January’s sales, which finished at 5,530,000.

Two new United States Mint silver products garnered the most attention these past few days. First, the 2015 Annual Uncirculated Dollar Coin Sets launched on Tuesday, June 16, followed by the 2015 Blue Ridge Parkway America the Beautiful 5 Ounce Silver Bullion Coin hitting the market on Monday, June 22.

2015 Proof Silver Eagle Weekly Sales Hit 5-Week High

For the first time in five weeks, weekly sales of 2015-W Proof American Silver Eagles jumped by more than 10,000. The number ordered, according to the latest United States Mint stats, came to 10,943. The Silver Eagle was also the best weekly seller of all the Mint’s collectible products. Its sales total is now at 423,222.

2015 Bullion American Silver Eagles Surging

Two things of interest show up when looking at the latest United States Mint sales stats. First the 2014-W Proof American Silver Eagle lost 1,581. And second, the 2015-W American Proof Silver Eagle beat the 2015 Silver Proof Set for the first time since the set launched three weeks ago. The increases were 8,594 compared to 6,936.
