US Mint Sales: 2013 Silver Proof Sets Cross 400K

As the year winds down, one more silver coin product hit a milestone. According to the latest US Mint sales stats, the 2013 Silver Proof Set crossed the 400K marker when buyers picked up 6,046 more last week, taking the total up from 399,772 to 405,818.
US Mint sales of the 2013 Silver Proof Set topped 400,000.
The set already passed one milestone when it exceeded sales of last year’s set, which ended at 395,443. However, it still has a long way to go before passing the totals for previous sets from this decade. More recently, the last reported total for the 2011 Silver Proof Set was 574,175 and the 2010 Silver Proof Set ended at 585,414.
Its new competition is the eight-coin 2013 Limited Edition Silver Proof Set that launched on December 12, 2013, but sales numbers for this edition are still unknown. The 2013 Silver Proof Set has a total of 14 coins, with seven in silver, and has been around since May 2, 2013.
