US Mint Sales: 2014 Proof Silver Eagle Out in Front

Once again, 2014-W Proof Silver Eagles led sales of silver coins per this week’s United States Mint sales stats. They were followed by 2014 Silver Proof Sets and 2014-W Uncirculated Silver Eagles.
Sales of the 2014-W Proof Silver Eagle led all other U.S. Mint products
Demand surged for this year’s Proof Silver Eagles compared to the previous week. Buyers scooped up 12,675, lifting the year-to-date total to 563,316. In the prior Mint sales report, the Silver Eagles had climbed 7,477.
While the single proof silver coins dominated sales, 2014 Silver Proof Sets were not far behind. Their sales number jumped 10,002 and that notched their total to 240,612. Uncirculated Silver Eagles trailed by quite a bit, with a gain of just 1,325, but they maintained third place among the best-selling silver offerings.
This ongoing, top three best seller list will likely look much the same next week, but then it will be disrupted with the release of the 2014-P Arches 5 Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coins on Thursday, June 12. Stay tuned for more details.
