US Mint silver coin sales stats

Silver coin sales were down across the board, but just slightly, according to the latest United States Mint sales stats.

Last week Mint sales leaders were the Annual Uncirculated Dollar Coin Set and the Silver Proof Set, with 4.63 percent and 3.2 percent increases, respectively. The sets were again leaders, but tapered to percent increases of 3.96 and 2.86.

The Mint stopped selling Bald Eagle coins and the legacy collection on December 12. As expected, their sales totals changed little. An exception is the Bald Eagle silver dollar. For whatever reason, its unit tally dropped 2,213, or by 0.88 percent.
