US Mint silver coin sales statsDespite a recent rise in silver prices, US silver collector coin sales have decreased compared to the last figures reported on January 23.

The 2008 commemorative silver dollar figures are again unchanged, and will be removed from the table next week to make way for the upcoming 2009 Lincoln Silver Dollars, which the U.S. Mint will begin selling on February 12.

Sales of 50 State Quarters Silver Proof Set actually show a correction, with 4,569 fewer sets listed to a new total of 418,705 sold.

The 2008 Annual Uncirculated Dollar Coin Set experienced a decent increase of 2,115, or a 4.62 percent rise over the last report. The set is now the only way to get an uncirculated American Eagle Silver Coin, since the single 2008-W silver eagles sold out in late January.
