2013 ATB Quarters Silver Proof Set Lead Weekly US Mint Collector Sales

In the silver coins category, the 2013 America the Beautiful Quarters Silver Proof Set saw the highest demand from collectors, almost double that of the second most popular set, the most recent U.S. Mint sales stats show.
The 2013 America the Beautiful Quarters Silver Proof Set led U.S. Mint silver product sales
The 2013 America the Beautiful Quarters Quarters Silver Proof Set, in its second week of sales, led with 5,270 new orders. That number plus the 49,051 scooped up when it debuted meant the U.S. Mint sold 54,321 by January 21. The numbers are not as strong as the previous annual set, which started with 61,181, but a slowdown was expected since the series is in its fourth year.
Next up were the 2012 Limited Edition Silver Proof Sets. Collectors took in 2,724 more, an improvement over the 1,940 purchased in the previous round. The latest sales brought the new total up to 38,034. If the Mint cuts off orders at 50,000, then only 11,966 remain available as of Monday.
The third most popular silver product was the 2012-W Uncirculated American Eagle silver coin, experiencing a gain of 1,706. Collector demand for them has been fluctuating higher and lower each week for the month of January. So far this month more than 6,000 have sold, and since their launch last August 188,143 have sold.
Next week’s sales report will include the debut number for the 2013-W American Silver Eagle Proof Coin. It went on sale Thursday, January 24, 2013.
