US Mint Silver Coin Sales Stats – Mar 19

March 19, 2009 by Silver Coins Today

US Mint silver coin sales statsSales were a tad more quiet for the silver Lincoln Dollars compared to the last reported US Mint figures, but still extremely active.

The proof jumped up 30,747 and the uncirculated rose 12,199. A total of 423,451 from the maximum 450,000 are now sold, which means a sellout is likely to occur within days. 50,000 are in reserve for a special 5-coin set to be released later this year.

(Although not silver but as a side note, Lincoln birthplace cents are on fire with 63,722 sold since Friday, March 13.)

With the Lincoln Silver Dollars coming to a likely close any day now, it will be curious to watch how the upcoming 2009 Braille Bicentennial Silver Dollars will do. The Mint will issue proof and uncirculated versions beginning next Thursday, Mar. 26.

The 2008 Mint Silver Proof Set and 50 State Quarters Silver Proof Set performed slightly better compared to the last report. All other US Mint silver coin sales were down just a bit.

Here are the latest US Mint silver coin sales figures:
